Stella

Stella needs a person who not only will treat her with kindness, but one who knows how to protect her space so that she doesn't have to do it herself. When Stella first came to the Rescue, she would yelp like she was being hurt every time someone would try to pet her. After months of working with her, she loves the human touch and is shining with a happy nature.

Stella has been in boarding because she was misinterpreted as not liking other dogs. Stella had her first play date in 10 months and loved every minute of it. She had her second play date with yet a different dog and enjoyed every minute of it. Stella needs to know that there is a human in charge of every situation and would love a family that included a good natured playful male dog. She now looks to the human companion to correct other dogs instead of trying to do it herself.

Stella is very obedient and more than willing to please. With the right leadership, she is the model of perfect dog behavior. German Shepherds are known to be a loyal breed. You would only have to look as far as Stella to see that loyalty living and breathing in a dog that would do absolutely anything for the right person.

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $350 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100% tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
