Talon
Talon was one of several real, working dogs on a ranch. One night somebody took the “shepherd” part of the job description a little to seriously and one of the sheep didn’t fare to well. We don’t know if the mutton mischief was Talon’s doing or not, but the owner turned him into the shelter.
After meeting Talon face-to-face, we are pretty sure that Talon’s only crime was guilt by association. He wasn’t the least bit aggressive with the other dogs. Talon’s motto seemed to be sniff and let them sniff. However, Talon is only about 13 months old, so he is a lot like the Energizer Bunny…he keeps going and going! Given that he was an outdoor dog, Talon would benefit from an experienced handler who is able to provide some structure and boundaries.
If you have your heart set on this striking example of a textbook standard GSD, you will be pleased to learn that Talon wasn’t least bit difficult to control on the leash. We were very impressed with his walking skills for such a young guy. Talon will make a wonderful pet with a little time and energy.
We are asking a $500.00 donation for Talon's adoption.
If you are interested in meeting me, please contact Teresa via email at baltao@sbcglobal.net. Don't forget to fill out our online application.
The minimum adoption donation ranges from $300 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100% tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems. Donate today using PayPal! Help us save dogs!
