Trace

Trace is a 2 - 3 year old black and red male. He was found running loose with his buddy Kahni. They ended up in a high kill shelter, where our volunteers rescued them just in the nick of time. Like most of the dogs at the shelter, he came in as stray, so the shelter didn’t have any history on him. At this time, we don't know much about Trace other than our evaluator's observations and notes. We will post updates to his bio as we spend time and get to know him better.

Update from Trace's foster family:
Trace is a wonderful dog. He bonded quickly and easily with our family. He can be very gentle and has a very playful side.

He has no problems with eating. He is working on staying in "sit" when food is put down. He responds well to treats, and is very eager to please. He is working on heeling during walks, and will sit and stay (sometimes with encouragement) and lie down with direction.

He is crate-trained, and is very comfortable staying in his crate all night once he knows his pack has settled down. He stayed inside the house at night. He was relaxed and calm in the house during the day, but when left alone, he was put in his crate for a couple hours at a time. He likes his walks, and he enjoys obedience work for treats.

He seems very comfortable around other dogs. He is a beautiful dog, and is very strong.

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $400 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
