Tye

There is an anonymous quote that reminds Tye, a handsome eighteen month old classic black and tan boy, of just why he'd rather not have a cat in his life! It reads, "Thousands of years ago, cats were worshipped as gods. Cats have never forgotten this." He's convinced that the cat with whom he lived for a while was living proof of the truth of this statement. That cat considered himself the equivalent of a god and that attitude caused Tye to stalk it around the house and then to lunge periodically. Lesson to be learned? No cats in Tye's home, please!

Tye was initially found as a stray with two other German Shepherds. After arriving at Rescue, he was adopted but then the story of the cat that you've just read resulted in his being returned to us. Tye loves balls and rawhide bones. And he loves to run and run! He's making progress in learning good canine behavior and is learning sit, down, and stay, and there is just a bit more work to be done in the potty training department. Tye wants very much to please so we expect he'll soon be successful at that task as well. Finally, he is very affectionate and gets along with other dogs. He'd love to move into your house but none of those cats who think they are gods please!

He is currently in a boarding facility. He would love to have a warm bed and someone to love him, whether it be in a temporary foster home or in a new forever home. Could you open your heart and home to this handsome boy?

The minimum adoption donation ranges from $400 to $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible.

Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
